More and more people are investing in their backyards. Since the mid ninteen nineties, trend watchers have seen a rise in people spending more time and money in and around their home. They even coined a term for this phenomena–coccooning! The pace of modern living has led to an increase of people wanting to spend what little free time they have at home. More and more people are telling us that packing for weekend cottages only to spend the weekend on cottage maintenance has become out of the question. Many people just don’t have the time anymore and are willing to spend their cottage money on creating a backyard oasis.
